Biomolecules
Biomolecules are molecules that present in living organism, These molecules are interact each other and the others molecules to do the biological process in living organisms. Some of biomolecules are macro and some of its are micro. Other than sizes, it also have different in shape, function, and its chemical composition. Examples of biomolecules are carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. These four examples of biomolecules, i'm going to give some of explanation about its general structure, linkages and functional groups.
CARBOHYDRATES
Carbohydrates has a carbonyl group (c=o) and multiple of hydroxyl groups (-OH). It is depend on location of (C=O) , it can be aldehyde sugar (aldose) or ketone sugar (ketose)
LIPIDSThe components of lipids are 3 fatty acids attached to glycerol. Lipids are hydrophobic behavior based on their molecules structure, It is one of the class of large biological molecules. It is includes fats, phospholipids, steroids, waxes and certain pigments. Basically, the lipids must have two smaller molecules: glycerol and fatty acids. These are the examples of general structure of lipids:
